Oklahoma sales tax and motor-vehicle excise
Oklahoma imposes a 1.25% vehicle sales tax and a separate motor-vehicle excise tax. New and used excise calculations differ, and official purchase-price/NADA safeguards can affect the final excise amount. A trade-in is not modeled as a generic sales-tax deduction.
Title and registration
The calculator includes the $11 title fee and standard registration by vehicle-age band. Alternative-fuel road-use charges, including EV/PHEV weight classes, and transaction-specific fees can increase the final amount.
Worked example
A new vehicle estimate totals the 1.25% sales-tax component and the applicable new-vehicle excise component while retaining their separate legal character.
